A while ago I went out with the most beautiful and interesting girl that could exist on this planet and it was the best date in the world, I swear. Even if we ended it with a soft kiss on the corner of the mouth and not in a wild way, for me it was of high value. Although friends said that I wasted the opportunity of a lifetime, for me it was taken. It was the first time I enjoyed making someone laugh, listening to what they had to say.
In that context I told myself that the World Cup was the time to show her what I'm worth, and in this tournament I did like shit. New York was the biggest disappointment of the tournament. It wasn't all my fault, but as captain I take full responsibility. So, I wanted to punish myself for a moment and say that perhaps these unrelated events were a sign.
I talked to my sister about it, because for some reason she became my advisor on the subject. She turned the tables, and told me that it's the sign to not let random events run my life. When did that asshole mature so much? So I took the first flight to England, to ask her to be my girlfriend.
